HOARD
In Erfurt, Germany, a collection of coins, bullion and jewellery was discovered buried hidden in the walls of an old house. The potential interchange between these forms was particularly striking; the gold and silver coins could be worked into jewellery and the jewellery melted down into bullion, ready to be recast as coins. This treasure illustrates the skill, craftsmanship and ingenuity of the goldsmith. In response, taking only euro coins as a material, I drew down, rolled, pierced, and soldered the coins into necklaces, earrings, bracelets.
